just some thoughts and a picture so the post won't be as boring.
first. in case i ever forget, please remind me that i made a promise to myself to never travel with small children. two children who need naps and early bed times makes for lots of time bored in a quite semi-dark room. plus, in the first 24 hours velzy broke a glass and had an accident on their bed. opps.
second. i stink at packing: forgot running shoes (really upset about) and deodorant (every one next to me is upset about). and i didn't grab enough underwear, there are some "clean" ones hanging in the shower to dry.
third. i think ivy has some sort of eye infection. going to have to go to the doctor on friday. until then, i will continue wiping the goup from her eye while she gets mad.
fourth. fancy hotels are lame- no free breakfast, no free parking, no free wi-fi (unless you sign up for some free thing, which we did. what else am i going to do that is quite while the girls sleep?). good thing we are not paying for this one.
fifth. after hanging out in ocean beach for an hour yesterday, i have decided that i could never be a hardcore hippy-bum.
sixth. after hanging out at the old point loma lighthouse yesterday, i have decided i wished i lived there a hundred years ago.
seventh. i really regret not becoming a sea world employee like i dreamed of as a child.
eighth. velzy is snoring quite loud and she calls elevators alligators.
ninth. i just realized that i did a post like this last thursday with the random thoughts. i am not too into writing a lot lately.
tenth. i like san diego a lot. even the city. who knew? ok, i did. i love it down here. i would do anything to live in one of the beach towns down here. anything.
eleventh. it's almost eleven. time for bed. good night.

kaiya calls elevators elligators-- now after me over enunciating over and over again the e. well at least she got the first part.
sorry the trip is not as awesome as anticipated.
Hahahaha, Asi says the same thing. They must have hung out before?? Miss you guys! And I'm drooling over your mermaid quilt... :)
Anything to live in the little towns down there? Anything? And did you know some Hauula news that may make you happy? I bet you already know! No, I'm not prego! Aiken still calls elevators "Alligators" too. He's five, maybe I should correct him, but I like it. I always wanted to work at Sea World too...waterski girl...or Shamu trainer. Now I could only be a janitor.
bummer. and i hate when i pack and forget stuff, too. i can't wait til you all get back in december - beach and crafting in order for sure. hang in there...
hi.
I did not know you dreamed about working at Sea World. That was my dream as well. Right before my mission my Mom signed me up to be trainer for the day there. I got to swim with the dolphins, hang out with the killer whales and a lot more. It was AWESOME! Life is good, but I must say that I regret not following through with a few of my dreams.
oh man- hope you got some sleep too and you are enjoying the day! traveling with small kids sucks- but is usually worth it if the day stuff is great!
What's you email? I'm ashamed I don't have it! or maybe it's on my old account: email me at megannaihe@hotmail.com.
My kids totally called elevators alligators for years. I think Danielle still does. They have a had time with escalators, too, but I enjoy riding on them, too, so I don't really care what they call them!
Hope you're having some fun in the sun today.
hotels and kids suck. and now im going to go vote t=for you on the bluelily thing. you crack me up.
i always forget something! at it has gotten worse the more kids we have!
i loved san diego when i lived there! i wish that there was some way that i could get kasey to go there... he told me that he will move anywhere he can hunt... fishing counts! me need ocean!
I love these random thoughts! and I don't think you were being a downer at all.
