happy valentines day to everyone. thanks for tuning into my two weeks worth of things i love, it has been fun to think of lots of little things that i love everyday.
but, i have something to admit- i made a startling discovery today while at the gorcery store watching workers feverishly pump helium into ballons and place roses in pots of water. i don't even like valentines day (sorry brynn, i know it's your favorite holiday). i love love, but i don't particualrly like the one day of the year set aside to celibrate it. my reasoning- any kook can go to the store and throw down twenty bucks to buy a dozen roses and gigantic ballon that says i love you, then the next day go back to their lame selves. it takes a lot more to love on a daily basis. to come home from work and take your kids off your wives hands to let her go running, that is love. to let your husband go surfing while you stay at home with cranky kids even if you want to go, that is love.
my new mantra is "love everyday." love each day and love someone everyday. there is so much to love, why not?

I agree. I don't like Valentines Day at all. I do like eating candy though.

I agree with you that we should love everyday, but every day we can't go on a fabulous date with our husbands without our kids! I love Valentine's Day for that reason.
