oh so long ago

we had spring break.  it's all a blur of fun and friends.  sometimes i wonder if my kids will ever know how good they have it.  sometimes they complain that they have to go to the beach.  pathetic.
we had some pretty junk weather for the kick off of spring break- the road in front of our house turned into a river and we were on flood watch all that friday.
this is all the stuff that washed out the little river by our house:

and here is our lovely beach

our friends from california came to stay at our house that night and it was super fun.  we partied till late into the night and then headed to town on saturday.  lola was sorta grumpy, she has been in a semi grumpy teething state for all to long now.  the girl is the worlds s-l-o-w-e-s-t teether.  it's terrible. but the point of me telling that was that she found herself a boyfriend.  they even share the same birthday, like 11 or 12 years apart.

then we went down to sand island and played at the beach.
we then made a spring break to do list:

monday of spring break we hit up the PCC.  a place everyone loves.  it was a bunch of fun and there were lots of friends all over the place. fishing, poi balls, spear throwing and tattoos.

tuesday luke joined us downtown for some hamsterball.  ivy wouldn't go in so luke hit it up again.  velzy loved it and wants to go back everyday.  it was so funny to watch her little body in there.

then we played at the beach and had dinner.  our buddies the hitz's were with us.  our kids are pretty much inseparable.

wednesday we joined our friends the smiths at queens bath.

thrusday we hit up the boyodo temple.
they have these black swans that i was sorta obsessed with, they have the prettiest ruffled feathers on the back, i loved them.  the kids had fun running all over, feeding the fish and swans, playing in the bamboo forrest and we had a little picnic at the coolest little pagoda.

and by friday we all needed a break so we hung at home and played.  lola got her first good nap in over a week. it was nice.  we had a friday night bonfire and the week was done.
i am tired just putting all the pictures up.

Coolest Spring Break ever.... they better not complain about going to the beach! We would DIE to be that close and get some more sunshine!

Looks like a wonderful, active, lively spring break! Yay for you guys! I showed my kids the pictures of your kids in the hamster balls and they freaked out! It's on our list of things to do when we come visit the big city! FUN!

Some of these pictures are just funny. Love the tattooed faces. Looks like you are hanging out with a gang of Mike Tysons. And Velz in front of that temple. She is a ham!

I don't know Ash, instagram is fun, but there is nothing like a good blog post like this one. It's the stories that can be told. Please keep blogging! So sweet, this entire thing.
