hula

ivy has wanted to do hula for a while now.  so we signed up and started a week ago.  i am pretty sure we are quitting this week.  rad.
these are from their first day, when they were excited to go- not crying and saying they hate it like they did this week.

after the first day when we were in the car on the way home we asked ivy how she liked it and she replied "it was awful and boring."
so there you have it.  hula- awful and boring.  although i think ivy is just too young for this group- since there were 8 year olds in the group who are just a tad more mature, focused, and experienced than my almost 4 year old little punk.  velz looked like she was hanging better but still she apparently hates it too. it's funny cause they are with niki, addy and a bunch of velzy's friends from school.  i thought at least the peer pressure would get them into it.  this week we had a huge blow-out just trying to get them there.  and i really don't think i want to kill myself getting them to go or killing them trying to make them like it.  maybe in a few years...

Sad that the girls don't like it! But, wait, where is it? Cause Eva would love it! I'll call you. The girls look way too cute though.

I love that they just know what they like and don't. It's nice because usually girls are indecisive.

maybe they weren't shaking their hips enough that day for her. because yeah, sitting down hula isn't as fun!

HA!
I tried to take Amaya to that last year (it was a 3/4 year old group) and we (yes, both) had about 4 melt-downs going/being/leaving there.
Maybe in like 30 years. When she takes her own kids.

Hahah, you just never know what they are going to like or not like. I have this perfect scenario image in my head for when Brighton goes to her first Hula class, I'm pretty sure it will end up exactly opposite to how I want it to go. Kids are funny

that's amby with swim lessons- i just got tired of the hassle twice a week- even if he ended up liking it once we got there- it was always a fight before and getting him to leave the playground after. maybe i'll start him back later too! "it was awful and boring" cracked me up too! love that little punk!
