goatislandgirls

how can you not laugh at these girls?  they are so funny.  i love when they play and get along together.  like the other day when i came in the kitchen to see ivy "helping" velzy with her homework.  or when velzy says things like "ivy, you did a really good job..."  having velz gone all day at school is an adjustment for ivy for sure- i can't totally figure her out.  she is currently sitting in front of the tv, something she would have never done a few months ago.  she goes back and forth between total sweetheart and little turd.  i am thinking she just needs time to adjust, and when we are busy and she has places to go or friends to play with she is always a lot happier.

anyways, i like them a lot.  especially when we are at the beach, we have so much fun at the beach.  we are all happy- in our element possibly?  it's so much easier to be a mom at the beach (i can say this now, in a few weeks when there is a newborn in the mix, that statement will be null and void. poop.).

and can you find luke?  we are hurting for waves these days (not that i mind).  luke came in from goat's the other day with a pretty good blue bubble sting.  i had to laugh cause he said it was after he got a good wave, so it was worth it.  yes, a good wave is totally worth it.

I feel like I am a better mom at the beach too because we are out, everyone can just get dirty, I'm not focused on anything else, there's always good snacks, and we are active so we all come home too tired to be naughty. We are so lucky to live here! What do mainland moms do day in and day out to keep their sanity? Especially in the winter???

I wish I lived close to a beach so I can get my kids worn out. Soon hopefully:)

Oh I'm totally a better mom at the beach. Snacks, baby waves (for MY girls) and sand toys is all you need right?!

I'm dying to meet this new little girl. And hear her name.

what cutie girls you have there! I have seriously dropped off the face of the blogging world as we know it but I find my way back from time to time. As I was looking through your blog I realized that Hooray! your preggers. So exciting! And with another girl! Hope you are feeling well.
