the best thing ever is that this picture i found somewhere on the www was titled "north shore hunks" awesome. occy (why did he get to use his real name in the movie?), chandler, lance burkhart, alex rodgers, rick kane, turtle... all hunks for sure ;)
i however, got a kiss on the cheek from the guy i have been in love with since i was 10. the summer before i came out to hawaii my brothers and i watched north shore every friday night. i have never watched a movie as many times as north shore. i have the whole thing memorized. it might be responsible for my wanting to come out to hawaii so bad as a kid. it might be responsible for shaping my whole life. not really. although, if we ever have a man-child luke really wants to name him "vince moaloka moffat." and he is serious.
anyways, turtle at castles. pretty rad.

This movie causes much contention in our home. Something like this:
CHRIS: North Shore is the best movie. Ever.
ME: Come on. Seriously?
CHRIS: Yes.
ME: That is the worse movie. Ever.

my sisters and i watched this movie so many times when i was little that i wanted to wrap a rock in a tea leaf first thing when i moved out here. i remember one new years eve in particular that we watched it and got made fun of by all my sisters guy friends. it has been so long though that i cant remember much about the movie at all! time for a re-watch for sure! my sister still has our old VHS version.... i should hit her up for that! haha
That is rad. I love that movie, it made "Laie Point" super famous. We still find excuses to kiss there.

Haha Dan was soooo jealous when I told him about this! He has done soooo much research on this movie (he once wrote a 20 page paper JUST on the movie North Shore alone) he said he read an article that Turtle wrote were he said tons of people come up to him and tell him how that movie had changed their lives forever and they live for the movie! Haha I am soooooo glad I stayed the extra five minutes and didn't go home! ahhhh! So exciting! P.S. how lame are my humungo sun glasses??? geeze I should have taken those monsters off!!

So cool! Turtle? Ah man. See Hawaii has it all. That was Tyler's fav. movie growing up. Just last night we were watching this kayak to napali coast thing and we looked at each other and ty said why again don't we live there!???
Holy Crap!! I heard that guy was killed and buried in the desert somewhere in California. Guess not. Alive and doing well it seems. Best movie of all time, and not to mention where I got my nickname!! Barno Rules!
