it's 98 degrees outside- lets talk about quilts!

so, i finally finished one of the two mermaid-ish quilts that i have been working on for too too long last week.  it my first time doing the binding by hand and it took a little while longer, but i like it.  i made if for ivy.  today velzy threw a fit because she like ivy's more with the blue (hers has pink, orange, and brown). she has this problem where whatever ivy has, she has to have. it's really really getting annoying.  poor ivy can't even put on underwear with out hearing "i was going to wear those!"  so this one might be put away for a while, maybe till it's cool outside and we actually need to use it?  that seems reasonable.  but there will be one that looks just like it in my etsy shop soon, hopefully!

and i have to post these that my mom whipped up in the last 2 weeks for some wee lil ones that were just borned to some friends.
we dig stacked coins quilts:
and who doesn't love sailboats?
i am sweating just looking at these.

you know what would be really awesome for us? It would be great if you could do a tutorial on the basics of quilting and where to start. It would probably be a lot of work for you but it would be great for us. If you do it I'll put it on Kirtsy and twitter it so that it will be worth your while, that way you'll be able to share with more people.

Nice quilt Ash! And your mom is just as talented to boot! Awesome.
So I have a quilt I made for Taj with some Heather Ross fabrics & I want one that goes similar with it for Lotus, so hell yeah I'd love to buy one off you if you don't mind. No hurry though because I'll probably give it to the girl for either her birthday or Christmas... both of which fall in December.

hey ash, i am very impressed with the quilts, good job. you guys look like you are having a great summer... i don't get on the computer much, so i got to catch up on your blog. We don't have sea world passes, but would love to see you. i thought i had your email, but don't so email me at laceyfellars@yahoo.com. hope we can work something out. i think velzy and lizzy would have fun together, they sound similar except the yes thing (lizzy would be a more no person) oh well love her to death anyway. She does love singing to those wee songs though!
