i have been exploring some new classes at the gym lately. today i went to a step class, which was funny- i struggled at the transitions and am sure i looked like a nerd but it was fun. then i went to a pilates class- it was my first one and it was awesome. i am so inflexible it is not funny but i felt like it was a great work out. just did some searching and there are some short workouts on youtube that i think would be great to do after the girls go to bed at night.
all of this has made me renew my goal of becoming an instructor for "aerobics" classes. i would love to teach kickboxing and a body pump, and if i get it figured out even pilates. just add that to "the life-long to do list."
anyone got any good workouts to pass along?

cool! You would be an awesome aerobics instructor! When my mom was pregnant with my bro. she taught aerobics. I guess I attended the classes in my car seat. hehe. Pilates is rad..I just did a DVD today. It would be neat if we lived near eachother..then we could do it together!

Good for you! OK I haven't officially tried it yet, but my adult hula hoop and instructional video are in the mail. That's how Marisa Tomei got her fabulous figure in The Wrestler! She did the Hoopnotica video.
you would be a great instructor!! and yes, i love pilates!!! it tones, when you do it. i have a favorite pilates dvd i stole from my sister. problem is, haven't been doing it much lately. i have been melting into flab these days. my motivation level is waning. but i got jillian michaels' 'banish fat boost metabolism' the other day and it is kicking my butt!!! i just need to integrate working out everyday so that's it's just part of my life and quit making excuses as to why i CAN'T do it. that's why all you girls, you inspire me to be healthy. so fit and looking good.
oh, and p90x looks freaking rad - matti has it and everytime i see the infommercial i want it!!
I took this ballet pilates class. It was such a good workout. Pilates is very awesome it really helps with flexibility
I do p90X and that is one crazy INTENSE workout. I love it when I can't get out for a run. And yes, I would love to be an instructor too! We should teach a class together. Could you imagine all the energy in that room? Pilates rocks! I love it.
I've done a pilates video once a long time ago and I forgot how awesome it was! thanks for reminding me. I will have to do it again.
my routine is run hard for 30 minutes a day and 3 sets of lunges. Not too intense, but it's doable.
and I do p90x videos every once in a while. I really like the yoga one.
You would be an awesome aerobics instructor. I tried pilates once and I was pretty sore the next day! I like the muscle hour classes at the gym...lots of lunges....low weight, high reps..gotta get buff!
i just got back from a lift class then tkb at 24. i love that place and could stay in those classes all day.. to bad child care only lets me leave them for 2 hours. i do pilates on tuesdays and it def is a good core woorkout. iv always thought of being an instructor but i dont have very good rythem. (Spelled right?) anyways i just left you a message we need to PLAY!! HELIUM

I'm on week 4 of P90x and it's kicking my butt, but I love it too. It's nice for the convenience and variety. I can never get out for a real class. Can't say it's making a huge difference yet, except that my shoulders are, um, ridiculous looking right now. I'm waiting for the rest of me to catch up.

You'd be good at it. When you come back to Hawaii I'll come to your class.
