can't sleep, here are the rest of the pictures

needless to say halloween was a good time. ivy, niki, and velz were some of the cutest little butterflies i have ever seen- no parental bias whatsoever in that comment. trick-or-treating was amazingly fun. velzy was using her "cute voice" to say thank you to everyone who gave her candy and after every house she would ask "are we going to go to another house and get more candy?" and ivy was adorable. she would run- if you have had the pleasure of watching her run, that in and of itself is hysterical, then add wings and pink antenna hair bopping as she runs- super cute. anyways, she would run up and shove her pumpkin at the people saying "tic-tet" and after they made a deposit she would always say "tak yu" and run down the driveway on to the next house. like i said it was really fun.

yesterday we spent a fun afternoon with some friends- allyssa and pay stacy- on the beach in front of the amazingly rad billabong house that they are staying in at off the wall. luke and pat surfed while "the girls" played in the shore break and tossed some boccie on the beach. then we got a tour of their house- it's a-ma-zing. i covet this house. every time i drive by it i have said how much i like it, but then to go inside and see it, ah. it makes me want to start a thousand get rich quick projects so i can one day get a house just like it. it's amazing- from the clark little photography gracing it's walls to it's beautiful kitchens with purple cupboards, it's on the sand location, fully equipped board room, and warm water shower outside- i am in love with this house.
after they pulled us away from the house we went to haleiwa for some delicious haleiwa eats and topped that off with some motsumoto's.  which reminds me- why is motsumoto's so popular? their ice is packed too hard, they don't use enough syrup and the lines are long.  aoki's mo bettah.  it was a great afternoon/evening.
enter the sad part- when we came home poor miss ivy got a finger smashed in-between two of the pieces of the garage door as it was closing and luke had to pull it out.  the next hour was just sad and she was hurting.  from her last little knuckle to the tip it is all swollen, her nail is black and going to fall off, and the pad of her finger is a gnarly torn up blood blister.  she is one tough kid though, today it was not really bothering her much, but it looks sad/gross and she isn't really using it.  i have to take her to the doc tomorrow to get a hole put in her nail to relive the pressure and let out all the blood and stuff.  i think that is why i can't sleep, i am not to excited about that.  i know it's going to make it feel better but getting it done will not be fun and i hate to see my little bug hurting.
anyways, that's was our weekend.  other than the sad part it was a ton of fun. hope yours was too!

sounds like a very fun weekend. you've got the cutest butterflies, ever! north shore beach houses = doug's ultimate dream. i wouldn't mind one, either. except when you gotta worry about super-huge surf washing it away. so sad about ivy's finger! sounds worthy of a shave ice with vanilla ice cream on the bottom, and then some. i'll be staying in kahuku, so beach friday we will be there!! miss you gals!!!

Super cute little butterflies! I love them! And what a fun day too! Sad about Ivy's finger. Amy just did that too. She smashed her finger in David's truck's door and pretty much obliterated her finger tip. She had to get it drained too, but I know it was dang painful for her, so I can only imagine what your little girl is going through! I hope it all goes well. What a good momma you are, Ash!

I love the bright colors in all your pictures. The girls look adorable. Having 2 boys, I don't get a chance to make cutsie.
How in the world do you get the pictures on your blog to be so big? When I upload mine large- they are still only slightly bigger than the mediums?
Please, if you have time let me know at calrach6@yahoo.com
Thanks!

Nice! Great idea dying the hair too. Much cooler than normal butterflys.
I want to see pictures of this house! But I am thoroughly impressed with clark little photography. Those are awesome pictures.

You do have some tough little girls! I guess you would expect that with how tough you are:) Your little pixie fairy princesses were so cute for halloween and your day at the beach with surfing and bocci sound just too good to be true. I am totally down with spending Halloween at the beach! And can I just say how cute Velzy's little cheeks are poking out of her costume below:)!

Your two girls are too cute with their butterfly wings, but the bright pink hair is what makes it AWESOME!
