indecision

i have really really bad indecision.  it's acting up a lot these days.  it's usually about stupid not big deal things like this.  i am pretty sure i have definite opinions about important things in life.  i think.
todays struggle:  which mermaid should i use for velzy's aforementioned birthday gift (a little pouch backpack that she has been asking me about for some time).
i finished this one last night, and i like it.  however, it is sort of earthy colors and velzy picked out this cool fabric for the inside that is oranges and pinks and browns.  they don't look all that wonderful together color-wise.

i just ironed on these lovely ladies- i mean merwomen and can't decide which one to make for her.
honestly, i struggle so bad.  which one should i do? hurry, comment, please! i have to get started.  incase you can't see them that well and for some reason the picture will not get bigger when clicked upon, one is a mermaid picking up various fishing lures off the ocean floor and the other is a mermaid on a rock with a sea gull landing on her hand.  she must have some lays potato chips- how else do you catch sea gulls?
this just in: velzy wants "the mermaid with the birdie on hers hand."  what the little lady wants, the little lady gets.  you only turn 3 once ya know. thanks for your opinions, i will be sure to ask what i should make for dinner,  when we should have another child, and what shoes/slippers to wear with what dress for church.  you guys have all the answers.

underwater one -- you can make the colors match the liner fabric.

I really like them both, either one would be really cute...I know I'm going against the crowd, but vote the seagull one, I think it would be really cute on the back of a backpack.

Both TOTALLY cute!
I personally would want the underwater one when you make me something!!
How cool if we could actually be mermaids when in the water!! Love them!

i was going to say the underwater one but now my subconscious cries for individuality force me to vote for the one with the sea gull. it's more like a complete picture, like a patch. the underwater one looks like it would want a background. maybe you could catch sea gulls by using a sea gull of the opposite sex.

oh man, it was a good thing i was too late on this since i liked them all and couldnt decide... i guess i have the same problem. and that lays potato chips thing cracked me up! so true... or pizza. i remember a very traumatic day in venice beach, at a sidewalk pizza place, surrounded by sea gulls and running for my life and finally tossing my pizza to them in defeat. i looked back just in time to see my dad with his patio chair raised above his head, swinging it around, he wasnt about to give in so easily. ah, i'm cracking up as i type this, but it was scary at the time...

and i too liked the underwater one, but velzy wins.

and i'm bummed because tuesday afternoon around 2 a random little thought popped in my head, "call ash." and i didn't because i said to the thought, "self, ash has a life and is busy doing things in that life." but self was wrong.

so next time i'll call.

Sorry we didn't make it today. We tried and failed. But today was my last day of watching Netina, but hopefully the bookmobile will be back up and running by next week...don't know when we'll be out for Aloha Fridays, but we'll see you tomorrow at least!
