this morning at 5:45 there was one of the most beautiful sunrises that i have seen for a long time.  it was the perfect- the sky was the most amazing pink and blue, the palm trees were swaying in a light breeze and had a golden glow about them from the sun just peaking up, there was a soft drizzle falling, and i am sure there was an amazing rainbow somewhere.

i wanted to grab my camera, but i sort of had my hands full.  you see, 15 minutes earlier i was awaken by "ash, we have had an eruption."  what? i thought in my groggy still sleeping state- last time i checked diamond head was an extinct volcano, what erupted?  then i looked up to see luke walking to me, arms outstretched with ivy dangling and covered in, well, "big d" as we called it growing up and she smelled like a lake powell pump out station.  into the bathroom we went for a strip down and clean up.  so when i saw the most beautiful sunrise this morning, i had her bedding in tow and really didn't want to stop and grab my camera.
we have caught a bug.  yesterday was spent with a really sick velzy snuggled on my lap all day, except for when she was throwing up.
(have i mentioned that we got a macbook? love it, still have a lot to learn about it though.  and i can't believe i got a picture of miss sicky smiling.)
actually, take that back she even did that on my lap.  poor girl.  it was so sad she just stayed curled up in a ball all day saying my tummy hurts.  and she still thinks that it is from eating too much candy on saturday.
just had to pause typing to catch some more throw up.  back now.
like i said, poor kid.  so glad ivy only has the runs, knock on wood.  so we will be watching movies and hanging on a blanket in front of the tv today.  it's actually sort of relaxing.
oh, and a cute story- two actually.  #1:  yesterday after ivy woke up and velzy was curled up on the cool tile floor i told ivy that velzy was sick and we needed to be nice to her because she isn't feeling good.  she got up and walked over to her and snuggled on her back and laid there sucking her thumb- it was really cute.  #2: velzy was sitting on my lap throwing up into her "throw up" bowl and ivy comes over all concerned.  she looked at what was happening and then bent over the bowl and started to spit into it too.  it was soooo funny, she is such a little copycat these days.
gotta run, i have some snuggling to do...

sucks to be sick. me and the kiddos have something too -- we all sound like we have frogs in our throats and i have a sore throat and the kids' noses are still running, with some coughing. i remember the days of my childhood with the 'throw-up' bowl. haven't had to use one with the kids -- yet. hope you guys get better soon, then maybe we can hit up the beach together again! get well!! and hopefully no more spillover eruptions, for mommy's sake!

you poor girls!

ivy is so cute, amazing she's "big" enough to be doing those things. Little sisters are a sight to behold as they begin the imitations. after the sickies it will be more and more fun, hang in there!

Ashley, I'm SO interested in how you like your computer. We are not in the market, but I do want one someday just because of all the fun features they hold.

Sooo sorry your kids are sick too. Poor V. That's the worst.
