the last few days we have been treating ourselves to a visit from uncle amon (or adam as i like to call him), hence the no blogging and now a huge post about how much fun we had. adam is really into treating himself to fun things and so we quickly got into treating ourselves as well. we treated ourselves to (in order from thursday afternoon to tuesday am): a great time playing around at waikiki, going bodysurfing at ehukai, adam going for a skate at the kahuku mini park, playing at the pools at t-bay and adam storm surfing there, yummy mexico lindo dinner and 31 flavors after, an early morning surf at v-land, adam having a skate at the north shore park, playing and bodysurfing at off the wall, aoki's shave ice, watching pipe go crazy on sunday, more fun at ehukai beach park, shrimp from romy's, adam having another skate at kahuku, and lots and lots of melona bars and other tasty treats, fun with the girls, and a few walks.
needless to say, it was a good time.
i never take my good camera to the beach because i know it would just get thrashed, and for some reason i feel like a dork taking pictures at the beach. i think i have some stupid fear of looking like a tourist. and i am totally over trying to get my pictures to look good on this post so here is a few quick snaps:

ivy turned 11 months on the 14th. can i just say how much i dig this little girl? she is so crazy. the kid is a water baby, she charges and gets mad when i take her out of the water, even if she gets totally taken out by little waves she is smiling and kicking her feet. i keep waiting for her to get scared but it hasn't happened yet. she is one tough cookie, velzy has taken to bodyslaming her (see picture below) and it does not phase her, in fact, i think she likes it. the girl loves to play rough. she and velzy have been playing together so funny the last while, they love to make each other laugh. she has got the best cheesy grin these days, but only likes to scowl at the camera. i am pretty sure she doesn't care about walking much right now and i don't really see that happening in the near future. she eats a ton, easily more than velzy, i don't think she is capable of getting full, her belly just keeps stretching to accommodate large amounts of food. she still loves to growl as she cruses around.

So fun. Everything looks so fun and I love that Ivy just goes face first into the water. No doubt she will be a surfer someday.

Two cute girls Ashley.

Those pictures really made me miss Hawaii beaches! However, Puerto Rico beaches aren't too bad either =) I can tell your girls love the beach as much as you do!
