after christmas catch-up

sad to say but i am not too excited to do this long post so far after the fact, so it might lack the fun stories and enthusiasm it may have had if i had blogged over the last month or so. that being said... here is a few shots from our vaca.

first i must make further mention of our flight out to california and why velzy's throwing up was probably my fault... it was an early flight so i woke velzy up at 4:40 or so and i was having an airborne to drink and she naturally wanted some so i gave her what was left of mine. then we all piled in the truck to drive to the airport where i crammed a whole yogurt down her. 10 minutes before we got to the airport she started to get whiny and squirmy. she had a nasty burp when we got her out of the car and i started to fear the worst...which happened about five minutes later while in line to get our boarding passes and check our bags. (note to self: early wake up+airborne+yogurt+hour of driving=puke) luckily, we were able to get some extra clothes out of our bags, go to the family restroom and change and towel off the vomit, then get to the sky cab guy before they stopped accepting bags. it was awesome. within a few minutes she was running around just fine. kids, huh? the rest of the flight went pretty well. velzy was wound up and spilled a juice on the guys bag sitting behind us, which was awesome, and ivy slept most the flight, which really was awesome. bit, i have to say it was all worth it.

the next morning (aka sunday) we went mistletoe hunting. can you see my dad in the tree?

ivy had it all fugured out. and there was a random tree that some students from the nearby school had decorated so velzy and my dad had some fun with that.

a few hours later off to church. gotta love new christmas dresses:
and after church on to the billings family christmas festivities. love all the little kids in the nativity.

SO fun Ashley. I Love the DDR! I wish I was as good as al those kids you see at Chuck E Cheesers. Have you seen them? They make it look so effortless.

The babes are a-growing!

That cracks me up that your mom wanted a DDR! I had roommates that honestly played it for hours one night and their calves were so sore the next day they couldn't even make it to church! Also, The picture with Ivy kissing you is so cute. Gotta love the big slobbery kisses!

i feel you on the puke session. once i fed oshyn a yogurt right before a flight out of dulles (he was 14m) and then on the way up i fed him a bottle of soy milk so his ears wouldn't pop...well, there you have it, yogurt and soymilk ALL OVER THE PLACE!! Everyone kind of stared at me and then finally someone offered to hold him so i could wipe the yummy stuff off me. No change of clothes for either of us, just good stories for later. the common factor here YOGURT. just don't do YOGURT before flying.
