you know how whenever you go on a long vacation towards the end of it you get all frantic like you have not done all that you wanted to and then you go a little crazy trying to visit people or see/do things that you wanted to? that is what the last week has been like and the next 3 weeks will continue to be like.
we are moving back to hawaii. have i mentioned that? luke is wrapping up all his studies and we are moving back on december 12th. that's 3 weeks away. it's coming up fast. our truck is now on a boat to go back across the pacific. our house is a disaster area and we are trying to decide what to give away and what we can fit in our suitcases. 6 suitcases limits what you bring with you, but that didn't stop me from getting a new sewing machine last week (thanks so much mom!) that will be a pain in the butt carry on, but will be worth it.
and of course, we have been having so much fun with friends and family. i think leaving everyone here is the hardest thing to think about when i think about moving. don't get me wrong, i am super excited to get back to hawaii- we surfed junky cold waves on friday and all i could think about was chun's. even turtle bay sounded divine. and i can't wait to play with family and friends there. but i have so much family and so many friends here that i love so much. my heart literally hurts when i think about not being able to hang with my homegirl heluim, drive down to laguna or dana point to see my grandmas, watch velzy and ivy pick my sisters room apart and listen to them talk or go to kick boxing with her, hear my dad come home to his buddies, see velzy and ivy run to give my mom hugs when we visit there, game nights at my parents in which everyone gets obnoxious and i can't stop laughing, to see brock and the girls snuggle on the couch and watch tv together.... the list goes on and on... there is a lot to miss.
anyways, where was i going with this post? can't remember. i think i was going to talk about the fun week we had. my mom took velzy on a date to disneyland on monday and spoiled her, it sounded like they had a ton of fun. ivy and i went to laguna to play with my grandma. it was amazing how different she is when she does not have a big sister (competition) around. she was so fun, so grown up- not one whine came out of her mouth, it was amazing.

Hey we can play when you get back! I'm sorry you'll be missing so much but the surf really is waaayyyyy better and warmer here!
can't wait to see you guys!!!
and ivy looks so much older...
enjoy these last weeks/days/hours/minutes in cali.
We can't wait to have you back. It's funny cause I thought we would be gone and moved away by the time you guys came back, and I was sad cause i thought you and your girls were fun, and by the time I was hangin out with you, you were already leaving for Cali. And now you are already coming back and we are still here! And I don't think we'll be leaving for a long time. ;-) So, I hope you are looking forward to being my friend...cause I'm goona make you be. Hahaha.
yeah it sounds so lovely and fun where you are, and being with family.
Ahh to be by family, in a place that you love, for an extended time. I am wishing I had a year in Cali, except that all my family still lived down there. Cause lets be honest I am not wishing for a year in Utah (sorry if that offends anyone).
But I will be glad to see you guys again. And whoa!! Ivy looks so big and grown up!
I love that picture of your grandma with an orange slice on her lips! so cute!!
Enjoy your last weeks! Soak it in and at the same time be excited to see all of us again, cause we are excited to see you! :)
I was so glad I got to hang out with you before you left! I am excited to check your updates from Hawaii!!
Good luck squeezing lots of fun into the next three weeks. You'll make it memorable for sure.
YAY I get to see you before we leave, YAY YAY YAY!!
We loved Oahu so much that we're sure we will go back. When we do, I want to say hello to you in person!! Good luck these next few weeks, and Happy Thanksgiving.
I am sad we didn't get to hang as much! No worries you will always be my internet friend, hey that is how we met, ha! ha! Guess I have to come there so we can finally surf together, sounds good to me!
