the child is... i don't really know how to describe her. she is herself. she is sweet, she is nasty. she is funny, she is sassy. she is clingy, she is independent. she is so many things wrapped up into one.
the other day velzy, ivy, my mom and myself were walking to the lake with a picnic lunch. the girls like to go through the paths in the plants next to the sidewalk. the road less taken, i dig it. while ivy was trying to get over some tree roots she fell. it was one of the funniest falls ever, totally in slow motion. she fell on her back in the plants and just laid there.
just happened to have my camera, didn't help her up, just laughed and took pictures. you know how sometimes little things just strike you as the funniest things? this is one of them. i know this is not even a little bit as funny to anyone reading as it was to watch, but i want to remember it. and i like how velzy is walking by her like nothing happened.
eventually we helped her out and off she tromped- dried leaves in her hair and all over her back.
*sorry for this, but again my mom and i almost peed laughing so hard at her next comment. sorry for the profanity.
"welzy, look at my big dick!" she yelled it over and over and over.
eventually, we made it to the lake and had a lil picnic. it always takes so long to walk places when there is so much to discover on the way, but so much more fun.

When we went to our family reunion trevor found a big stick and the whole time my brothers and cousins and even an uncle would ask him what it was. It never got old. Sooooo funny.

the stick comment made me laugh too. and i can totally picture the falling in the leaves thing, especially with one of my girls and laughing too so i got it.
