sunshine

this week was a good week.  it just was.  

i rededicated myself (like i do every week) to having more patience and fun with the little ones and found myself laughing a lot more and not getting as frustrated (except for bed time, that is always frustrating).  today our opening hymn at church was sunshine in my soul and i couldn't help but smile while singing it (and wrangling ivy).

There is sunshine in my soul today,

More glorious and bright

Than glows in any earthly sky,

For Jesus is my light. 

O there's sunshine, blessed sunshine,

While the peaceful, happy moments roll;

When Jesus shows His smiling face

There is sunshine in my soul. 

There is gladness in my soul today,

And hope, and praise, and love,

For blessings which He gives me now,

For joys laid up above.
