why you ask?
-i have been able to see miracles happen- seriously, like big huge fat there is a Heavenly Father who knows us and loves us and makes things happen even when there is no way on this earth they should type miracles.
-i laugh and laugh some more, quite often.
-i am comforted that i am not the only mom who wants to put their kids on a rocket ship to mars every once in a while. but i also get reality checks as to how lucky i am to have two healthy happy beautiful little girls to drive me nuts and make me so happy.
-i am inspired by so many pictures, crafts, stories, and comments.
-i keep in touch with old friends and have made new ones. one is silver and the other gold. i would not even know what most of my friends kids look like or where they are living if i didn't blog stalk them all.
-i am able to look back on my blog and laugh at myself. this one happens quite often too. but i am so glad that i have some of my thoughts and a lot of my favorite pictures here. hopefully some day soon i will make this blog into a book.
-it has really made me realize how unique everyone is. and although we are all in different phases of life and like different things and think differently, everyone has something good to offer. i really like you. yes, you.
so there you have it. just a few reasons why blogging is my favorite past time these days, justifying how i just spent my last half hour checking up on everyone. now on to doing something more productive...

amen and amen! i kept thinking it was kind of a guilty pleasure, or something i should be a little embarrassed about- but it has actually really enriched my life and who knows if i would have so many local friends if it werent for the little network we all have going. i like checking in on your life- it makes me want to get out and do something beachy with ambrose or make something crafty- both great things so thanks!
ha, I always laugh at my old blogs! Mostly because I feel embarrassed for posting some of them. I do think it would be fun to make them into a book though! It is awesome to see everyone's perspectives on life and learn from them. Blogging is so fun!
i really like you too ash! you, yes YOU
And yes, I agree! I like you too, Ash! I'm so lucky that we were roomies and that I got to meet you. Yes, we did have some weird cereal eating habits and did spent WAY too much time on the elliptical (which, wow, wouldn't I LOVE to do now!), but we DID have a great time, always. See you at Beach Days tomorrow! I'm really liking this "not working" thing!
i agree 100% blogging is great. and i love getting such a personal glimpse into others lives. it is kind of fun to see the real thoughts and feelings of people. did you see the fabrics i posted on my blog for you. i thought of right away when i saw them.
Amen, Amen! Love yah!
I get so sick when I hear people say it's a waste of time...Heeeellooo what did the prophet say about journal writing. I have a book journal for things better left private and a blog for everything else. It's a great way to keep in touch too..not only do you get to read what people are up you get to see it, which is so much fun and since I am the worst at keeping in touch with people this is perfect for me. Keep it up I love reading about all of your fun stories =o)
its in the air--i'm practically high on blog love right now. and yous is really fun (understatement)
Of course you love it, otherwise you wouldn't have met me! Ha! Ha!
Ash help with names please!!!
couldn't have said it better! i was so against starting my blog when i did, and boy was i wrong! it so totally rocks!
i have the same problems as you do, staying up too late, wasting nap time, and not being as productive as i could be, but it makes me happy. and i meet new, cool people like you!
It's been so fun connecting with you again. It seems like you were one of the first ones that I "found" on blogs...so fun to have stayed in touch through it all (two babies!).
