velzy's room

so i started feeling bad that velzy's room is really plane looking the other day and decided to do something about it...picked up some small frames and paint at michale's the other day and got to work. the colors of the frames match the colors in the blanked that i am making for the baby...which has turned into a twin size quilt that will go on the bed in the room because luke logically reminded me that she will get more use out of it if it is bigger. you always get so many blankets and stuff for babies, why not make her one she can still snuggle up to when she is older. anyways, i really dig these frames from urban and wanted to make some, but then i got into the birds again and just didn't see it working if they were attached. luckily though, my friend is picking me up some frames from ikea today that i want to make two sets of the attached frames with so we will see how that goes.

and faithfully keeping me company while velz naps...the jar was full monday afternoon!
and i am very happy to report that velzy is back to her sweet self- with lots of smiles and laughter and not many tantrums and crying. having a happy kid makes life so so much better/easier/enjoyable. speaking of- she just woke up! gotta run!

I love those birds! you did a great job with the frames. The colors are so spring. I didn't even know urban sold frames like that! cool.

dude a twin quilt is the way to go, ok so it just makes me feel better b/c thats what I did, but it is nice that they'll have them forever, you know take it with them to their dorm and put it on the spare bed intheir home for grandma when they have kids. Whatever, Im an idealist.
