luckiest mom ever

velzy: starting to get a little tired and whiny

me: velzy is it time for a nap? wanna go to sleep?

velzy: get up, walk to room, stand next to crib

me: pick her up, give her pacifier (only for sleep and in the car), put her in crib, cover with blanket, tell her i love her, walk out of room in utter amazement

who is this child? this is not the first time she has done this ether.
crazy.
in my top 10 blessings of all time there is a spot for how easily velzy goes down for naps and bedtime. i know how lucky i am.

That is awesome. I am very grateful 2 out of my 3 children are excellent sleepers. I guess the one not following the rules just needs to be taught.

That's funny, all 4 of mine have done just that. Never thought it was that lucky....it's actually quite common. Fun for a first time mom though :)

Who in the world is anonymous? And can she please speak up on how she got all four of her kids to do that? It is actually NOT that common.

Ashley, will you please enlighten me on how you got Velzy to do that? Seriously, what did you do? Did you ever let her cry herself to sleep? Please, just tell me something so I can at least try it.

megg- i think i had to just let her cry it out...funny how you forget so fast what you did. when she was around 6 months i did the whole let her cry it out at night thing, it took a couple nights but she got the hang of it. she still wakes up sometimes at night, sometimes i go in and others i don't just depends on the circumstances. but from what i have been told by six months they don't need a night feeding, right? good luck though, i hated listening to her cry. be strong!!! (easy to say, hard to do, i know)
