the most wonderful time of the year

saturday we spent the morning procrastinating the elders quorum lesson that luke had to give and the relief society lesson that i had to give, taking down the fall decorations and getting out the christmas ones! although, the wreath that i got- for less than $2, thank you- is currently sitting on the kitchen table waiting to be paid some love and attention from the hot glue gun and wire, but i can't bring myself to do it. mom, i need your help! i just came home from michales where i got a bunch of fun stuff- all on sale!- to put on it, and now i don't know what to do or where to start.
this is the top part of our angel/seashell theamed tree, which looks better in life, i couldn't get a good picture before my camera ran out of batteries. the bottom is a little sparse so that it doesn't get attacked by curious fingers, but i must say that velzy is doing really good with not touching it. she walks up to the tree, turns and looks at you, and says "no!" but after a few minutes the temptation is too much and she starts playing with it. we are trying out little hand slaps to get the point across, we'll see how that goes, it's hard to be really consistant but i am determied to get her to not play with it!

Aww, thats so funny that V turns and says no- they're so smart. And I LOVE your tree! How great is that to have your love of the beach in your tree! But the starfish topper is the BEST!!

You beach bums are so cool. Even your Christmas tree is cool.

Good job on scoring the deal on the wreath. I think we are long lost sisters. Nothing makes me happier than getting a bargain. Okay, maybe a few, but I do love a good markdown.

Good job, Velz! Our tree isn't up yet, but I'm sure we'll be telling both kids to back off.
