ivy is two. today.

i wish i would have started a list last week of all the things i love about miss ivy. sitting down right now i will not remember a fraction of them and there is so much to love about my little snuggle bug. to be honest, there are some things that i don't love like biting, scratching, pinching, hitting (last night we were snuggling when out of the blue she hit me in the mouth, she didn't say anything just kept on snuggling like nothing happened. but, it made me look like i had a upper lip, so it was sort of cool). for everything that a two-year-old does that bugs you there are a hundred things you love about them. here's a few- and i am sure i will add more as the week goes on:

*i love her smell- especially when she just wakes up, for some reason her skin smells good. her breath is another story, but her skin smells so good!
*her huge grin- my favorite ones are when you catch her doing something she should not and she tries to smile her way out of trouble

*the girl is obsessed with wallets and bags

*her hugs and kisses- i love fish face kisses and when she hugs me so tight i can let go and she will just hang there

*how polite she is- she always says please and thank you even "no, thank you!"

*how tough she is- her legs are always black and blue and lately she always has a few bruses on her face

*she's a water lover- she can swim (or so she thinks), i can't wait for the water to get a little warmer so we can surf together

*she loves her family especially velzy, hearing her say her name is so cute

*she's smart- she told luke that her birthday was april 14, i had only mentioned it to her once a few days prior. little sponge.

*she jumps around a lot and could do so all day long. i love when i can hear her orange juice sloshing around her big tummy

*how obsessed she is with babies- "i want to pet the baby"

*the girl is a talker- we have some pretty funny, totally legit conversations these days

*whenever she wants to do anything on her own she says "i can"- i hear this lot. toddler independence...

*i also hear "watch (enter whoever will look at her)" and then does something cute or funny for attention

*she is a great sharer.

*she is not potty trained- her mom is a slacker but will pick back up again soon

*my little snuggle bug loves to cuddle. at times she can be shy and clingy, but give her some time to warm up and you have yourself a show

*she is content to play on her own, but it usually means she is up to something

*that baby gasp laugh that is so cute is still around, and just hearing it makes me laugh

and to think, last year she would not touch frosting...
