betsy, connie and i made some ornaments (thanks for the inspiration echo) last week and decorated our tree. connie couldn't get to all of her decorations this year, all our stuff was blocking it, so we made our own.
funny story- when luke and i were in out first apartment and first christmas in virgina we found this tree next to the dumpster, one of our crazy neighbors had gotten rid of it. naturally when you see a $150 fake tree going to waste you gotta save it right? so we took it home and put it up. the next day our crazy neighbor, we can call her tina, came by our apartment and looked in and saw the tree and went nuts saying what a nice tree it was and how she just got rid of her old tree to get a pre-lit one, and on and on. turns out it was her old tree. it doesn't smell as good as a real one, but it's working just fine right now.
i can't believe christmas is less than a week away. i am not ready. not at all.

i wish someone would leave a tree in their trash around here! that's so cool- what a good find. :)
and cute ornaments!
That is a seriously funny story. Wasteful AMericans! And I love your ornaments! And no, I'm not ready either. Not by a mile!
That tree has blessed many lives--the ornaments from it that you were going to throw away are still on our tree! That's the gift that keeps on giving.
Enjoy Christmas in California. Maybe we'll have to meet at the beach some time for a surf session.

It came way too fast, this year flew by!
Yes, I still want a blanket, but no worries when it is done! Enjoy you last week in Hawaii, hopefully you can get some warm, fun and clean surf before you leave!

I know this christmas isn't ideal for a lot of you Laie-ans, but it sure sounds like it'll add to the list of Christmas memories. YOu guys have done a great job with the tree.
If it helps you simplify this Christmas, you really don't need to get us anything:)
If there is one thing that we have all learned from living in TVA is how to reuse other people unwanted stuff. Wat to put it to use in another state =o) I wish there was a freebie bin every where I went!
